DEFINITION: a small bladder like cavity, esp. one filled with fluid.

FUNCTION: they store and transport substances from one cell to another. The vesicles are one of the important parts of a cell.
They are separated from the rest of the cytoplasm. The vesicles can fuse with other organelles to release or gain substances.

FOUND IN PLANT, ANIMAL, OR BOTH?: They are found in animal cells. They are not found in plant cells.
